The Entertainer: Each entertainer of Future Sounds has a love of entertainment and amusement. We each have the ability to host an event or aid those in charge. We are here to help your event become a success. It is our goal to help develop an evening of musical entertainment that not only closes the gap between generations but also bridges the ethnic backgrounds and preferences of your guests.

The Music: Future Sounds offers a diverse collection of music. Based on personality and style, each entertainer will create an evening designed around your customized Format Guide. It is difficult to collect every available type of music; however, each library has vast conglomeration of musical culture and history. We frequently purchase popular music from various categories plus special "hard to find" requests as needed. A listing of the core library is available for your viewing on this website. It does not list every album in the Future Sounds master library. It does list the more familiar and requested artists and songs played in the music industry. If we do not have a particular style or artist, you are more than welcome to bring those selections if you have them in your personal collection.

The Sound System: Professional concert speakers are used for every function. Future Sounds uses "JBL Eons" for all of its functions. Each speaker is capable of emitting 400 watts of power. Two are used at the average reception; however, additional speakers can be added for more sound reinforcement or to create surround sound effect. Additional speakers are available and suggested for large groups or areas, and multi-level, multi-room or indoor and outdoor venues. Some venues may have restrictions concerning outdoor sound amplification. Look on the venues contract for sound ordinance or amplification restrictions.

The Lighting: Several types of lighting are available. The difference between our lighting packages is the level of technology. The use of lighting can accent any portion of your event from a spotlight on a keynote speaker to transforming a reception event into a high tech nightclub. The choice or use of lighting is a preference, not a necessity. If your reception site does not have any special illumination, you may want to consider adding lighting to create some ambiance. The larger advanced lighting systems require special electrical requirements. Some venues may charge for additional power or a power distribution center.

  • The first type is stage lighting. Depending on the available electricity, we will bring out up to twelve stage lights. Each light is 600 watts and is covered with a colored plastic gel. This is a basic lighting system offered by Future Sounds. It is used quite often at our events. This is a good lighting package if you are looking to add just a little bit of flair, but not too much. The lights are focused specifically on the dance floor area. This system is controlled by a light board that has the capability of dimming the lighting fixtures individually as well as the capability of creating patterns and chases. It can be controlled manually or by an audio signal (the beat of the music). More stage lights are available if needed. Eight to twelve lights are used in FS package 2 depending on available power.Theme parks like Sea World and amusement parks like Six Flags Fiesta Texas still use these stable lighting fixtures.  The simplicity of use and lack of moving parts makes this lighting component an essential element for any lighting production.

  • The second type of lighting is club lighting. This is another form of simple lighting used at most dance clubs. It has a small microphone sensor within its base to receive sound. The sensitivity can be adjusted to synchronize with the music. This lighting cannot be programmed. Club lighting effects look best with smoke, haze, or dry ice machines. There is a variety of lighting fixtures in this category, ask us for an appointment to view them. Some venues do not allow smoke machines. We use a water based chemical in our smoke machines. Our younger clients tend to select this package.
  • The third type of lighting is intelligent or high-end lighting. This lighting system is very efficient because it uses less electricity and offers more features. Each fixture is capable of performing multiple functions. Each is multi-colored and multi-directional. This type of lighting is controlled with a high-end digital lighting board. This board can be pre-programmed to run an entire event or we can manipulate the fixtures manually as we go. The controller can store up to 99 scenes, 99 chases, and 99 shows. Each chase can contain 99 steps and each show can have 99 functions to process. In the show, we can combine scenes and chases. Large musical productions like "Lord of the dance" and "Stomp" use this type of lighting enhancement. In San Antonio, the "Cowboys Dance Hall" has a nice intelligent light show.

Accessories: Additional items are available to add to your packages.

  • Extra speakers are available and suggested for sound reinforcement in large rooms, multi-level or multi-room functions. This is a great accessory for functions that have guests in other areas beyond the main room. This accessory gives a surround sound effect increasing the coverage area without the need for increased volume. This can ensure announcements will be heard with more clarity throughout the room.
  • Additional sound systems, separate from the main system, are available. Quite often, an additional system is used for outdoor wedding receptions. This sound system has three microphones, a CD and cassette player included. You can just as easily plug in a keyboard or guitar.

In House Production: Special event music sometimes needs a special touch. Future Sounds can digitally enhance your musical presentation or dance piece. We can speed it up, slow it down, edit parts or words, or adapt your music presentation for a specific competition time frame. Musical pieces are edited and placed on compact disc.
